Northside Christian Church holds a pancake breakfast, basement
sale and tailgate sale the first Saturday of every month. The sale and
breakfast begin at 8:00am. The breakfast closes at 10:30am. The sales
end at noon. To make reservations for the tailgate sale, call (324)
868-1483 or (314) 868-5722. The breakfast is $4.00 which includes either
pancakes and sausage patties or biscuits and sausage gravy, and
beverage. Join us for breakfast and great bargains.

Everyone is invited to Holy Trinitys 15th annual BBQ from
11:00am to 7:00pm on the corner of Reavis Barracks & Union Rd in South
County.
Menu includes: ribs, pork steaks, chicken & brats. Sides include coleslaw, baked beans, & potato salad. Also, home made deserts. Prices from
$2.00 to $18.00.

25th Annual St Martin's UCC Fall Festival will be held
Saturday, October 4th from 2:00 - 9:00pm. The day will be fun packed for
the whole family. Featured events will include: Civil War Camp, BSA
Troop 894 Exhibit, Maple Grove Elementary 1st grade Art Exhibit, Vintage
Farm Equipment Display & Demonstration, Antique Tractor Display, Antique
& Quilt Display, Rock-A-Thon, Root Beer Floats, Children's Pedal Tractor
Pull at 2:00pm, Homemade Apple Butter $8.00/ quart & $4.00/ pint,
Caramel Corn, Crafts, Magic Show, Pumpkin Decorating, Fish Pond, Face
painting, CHFD Safe House, Horse Drawn Wagon Rides, Big River Ambulance
Free Blood Pressure Screening and Fireworks Display at 8:30pm.
Live musical talent will perform throughout the day and feature - Young
Voices Northwest Choir, The Noble Four Men's Gospel Group, St Martin's
Strings & Men's Gospel Group and Sing Praise & Glory Group. Come help us

The Worship Ministry Team of St. John UCC is sponsoring their
2nd annual Fall Craft Fair on Saturday, October 11, 2008, at the church.
The church is located at 228 N Sixth St in Wood River, IL and is
handicap accessible. The fair opens at 9:00am and runs until 4:00pm.
A
variety of crafters and vendors will be present, but there are still
openings for vendors. Tables are $15.00 and we provide 8-foot tables and
2 chairs per table.
Food is available for purchase by everyone. It
includes homemade vegetable soup, homemade chili, hot dogs, chili dogs,
nachos and baked goods. Tea, coffee and soda is also available.
A spaghetti supper will be served at Northside Christian Church
beginning at 4:00pm. The cost is $6.00 (all you can eat) which includes
spaghetti, bread, salad, beverage and pie. Serving will conclude at
7:00pm. Take outs are available. No reservations required. Come and
enjoy good food and good fellowship!

This FREE, interactive family event is a Christmas
celebration you won't want to miss. Enjoy live music, crafts, games,
photo opportunities, drama, refreshments and so much more. All
volunteers will be in Victorian costume to create an illusion of a
bygone era.
